On the way back to Fort Wayne from Illinois, I stopped at this rib joint my mom and I went to a few months ago. To say the line was wrapped around the building would be an understatement. I mean it was zig zagged around the parking lot, but the ribs are so good, I sucked it up.
After making the first loop, I noticed this…

Now, I love me a good ad, so I had to snap a shot. I don’t know if this is a real review, but being a professional in the digital marketing industry, and managing Google ads for a large company with more than 3000 franchise locations, my gut instincts tell me it is and some genius in their marketing department had the brilliant idea to turn it into an ad.
What a great way to turn lemons into lemonade. I mean it doesn’t get any more creative than this. While everyone else are spinning their wheels trying to get hide negative reviews, they and are using this to drive interest in the product; because you know there’s some dare devils out there who love hot stuff and will try it just out of curiosity.
I’m not one of those folks, but if I was (and if I liked cocktail sauce on my shrimp), I most definitely would be getting me a bottle of St. Elmo Steakhouse Shrimp and Cocktail Sauce.
Have you seen any good examples of businesses turning a negative review into a positive like this?
